1. Membership Service and Scope
This Membership Agreement forms part of the XB Live Interpreter Terms of Service. Before purchasing or subscribing, please also read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The product name, duration, price, currency, and payment information displayed in the App and Apple purchase sheet form an important part of each transaction.
Membership provides live-interpretation allowance for microphone interpretation and permitted Mac system-audio interpretation. Historical playback, export, and a user-requested AI summary do not currently consume interpretation minutes. If that scope changes, we will provide prominent notice before the change takes effect and will not retroactively charge a current purchased period merely by updating this Agreement.
The App does not use an account system with a phone number or password managed by us. Membership is confirmed using valid Apple transaction information. Allowance records are stored locally and may sync across devices through the private CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account.
2. Products and Benefits
Included new-user minutes
Eligible new users may receive a live-interpretation allowance without a purchase or automatic charge. Eligibility, the allowance amount, its validity period, and any other conditions are shown in the App when the benefit is granted.
- One iCloud account generally shares one included allowance rather than receiving a separate allowance on every device.
- When a Weekly Pass is purchased, the App switches to the subscription allowance; unused included minutes are not added to or preserved with the Weekly Pass.
- After a verified Weekly Pass purchase history exists, expiration of that pass does not grant another new-user allowance.
- Changing the App Store account or iCloud account, or deleting the App's iCloud data, may affect eligibility verification.
Auto-renewing Weekly Pass
The Weekly Pass is a one-week auto-renewing subscription. The live-interpretation allowance for each period, product name, price, currency, renewal date, and confirmed benefit are shown in the App and Apple purchase sheet before purchase.
Automatic renewal remains enabled until you cancel through Apple. Unused minutes expire at the end of the current period and are not refunded, converted to cash, transferred, or carried forward, except where applicable law or Apple rules require otherwise. Family Sharing is not currently supported.
Each initial purchase or successful renewal creates a new subscription period. The new period and its expiration are determined by Apple-verified transaction information; unused allowance and top-ups from the previous period do not enter the new period.
Current-cycle top-up
A top-up is a consumable in-app purchase available only while the Weekly Pass is active and no interpretation session is running. Each verified, undelivered transaction adds the amount shown on the purchase page to the subscription period in which it was purchased.
A top-up does not create or extend a subscription period and does not carry into the next period. It expires when the current Weekly Pass period expires. Multiple top-ups may be purchased during the same active period when the App makes them available.
3. How Minutes Are Calculated
Active interpretation time
Allowance is calculated while the App is connected to the live-interpretation provider and is actively capturing audio without being paused. Waiting on a page, permission prompts, preparation before a session, network connection and service confirmation, paused time, reconnection waits, failed handshakes, locally rejected starts, historical playback, export, and AI summaries are not counted.
Once active capture and cloud streaming begin, that active time counts even if the network later disconnects, you end early, or an automated result contains an error. Counting stops when the session enters reconnection waiting, subject to refunds or compensation required by law or for a failure attributable to us.
Each session rounds up to a whole minute
Each user-started interpretation session is calculated separately and rounded up to whole minutes. One to 60 seconds counts as one minute; 61 to 120 seconds counts as two minutes; each partial minute after that counts as another minute.
Microphone or Mac system-audio interpretation from one start through final ending is one session.
Pausing, resuming, moving between foreground and background, or reconnecting within the same session continues the existing calculation and does not create another first minute. Ending a session and starting a new one begins a new calculation.
Insufficient balance or expiration
Before a session starts, the App grants a session budget based on the balance it can verify and records usage as billable minutes change. The App may stop sending live audio or end or limit a session when that budget is reached, the subscription period expires, Apple revokes the entitlement, or the transaction is refunded.
4. Purchase and Automatic Renewal
All purchases are completed through Apple's App Store. Apple charges the amount displayed in the purchase sheet to your Apple account after you confirm the purchase.
The Weekly Pass renews every week until you cancel or Apple stops renewal because of payment failure, account status, regional availability, or another applicable rule. A successful renewal starts a new period with the allowance shown for that product in the App and Apple purchase sheet; the previous balance does not carry over.
To avoid renewal for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The exact billing and cancellation deadline displayed by Apple and the applicable Apple rules control. Price changes are handled through Apple, including notice or consent where required.
5. Cancellation, Management, and Restoration
Cancel automatic renewal
You can manage or cancel the Weekly Pass from the membership page in the App, from Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions, or through another subscription-management entry provided by Apple. After cancellation, access generally continues until the expiration time shown by Apple. Uninstalling the App, deleting local or CloudKit data, disabling iCloud, or stopping use does not cancel the subscription.
Restore purchases
An active Weekly Pass can be restored from Apple's purchase records. Consumable top-ups generally cannot be restored from Apple's current-entitlement record alone and depend on the cloud allowance record associated with the same iCloud account.
Changing iCloud accounts, disabling iCloud, deleting the App's cloud data, or losing data before a completed transaction has synchronized may prevent automatic recovery of a consumable top-up. If you were charged but did not receive the benefit, keep the original App Store and iCloud accounts signed in, refresh or restore from the membership page, and then contact Apple Support and support@miremire.com if the issue remains.
6. iCloud and Cross-Device Use
Using the same allowance across devices requires the same App Store Media & Purchases account, the same iCloud account, available iCloud Drive and CloudKit access, a network connection, and completion of transaction and allowance synchronization.
Apple does not provide the App with a directly comparable identity for those two accounts, and CloudKit is not a real-time payment system. Balances may temporarily differ across devices. To prevent duplicate delivery, the App may prevent paid interpretation or a purchase while iCloud is unavailable. Local notes, historical playback, export, and other functions that do not involve paid interpretation are not restricted for that reason. iCloud unavailability does not pause or extend the Apple subscription period.
If cross-device records are delayed or conflict, the allowance is determined from verified Apple transactions and all synchronized usage events associated with the same allowance batch. We may verify and correct an abnormal balance without charging the same usage twice.
7. Refunds, Revocation, and Payment Problems
Apple collects and manages purchase payments. Refund requests should normally be submitted through Apple's Report a Problem service, Apple Support, or another remedy available in the purchase region. Apple determines the refund under its rules and applicable law; this Agreement does not remove mandatory consumer rights.
If a refund, revocation, chargeback, failed transaction verification, or subscription expiration occurs, the App may stop the related benefit or active interpretation session, remove unused allowance associated with that transaction, and correct local and cloud entitlement records using Apple's verified status.
We do not independently promise a billing grace period after an automatic-renewal payment failure. Any retry or grace period depends on Apple's actual configuration, display, and applicable rules. When entitlement expires, you must subscribe again to continue paid interpretation, and prior Weekly Pass purchase history does not create another new-user allowance.
Except where law, an Apple refund decision, or a failure attributable to us requires otherwise, unused time, failure to cancel, unsupported device or network conditions, selection of the wrong language, or dissatisfaction with an automated result does not automatically create a refund or cash value.
8. Fair Use and Prohibited Conduct
Membership and allowance are for the purchaser's normal personal use in the App. You may not sell, rent, lend, transfer, share, or resell paid benefits; obtain duplicate included minutes through multiple devices, false accounts, repeated installation, or deletion of cloud data; alter the App or falsify Apple transactions, allowance events, device time, or network requests; extract client credentials to bypass the App; package a personal membership as a commercial API or proxy; or use attacks or abusive automation to increase cost or interfere with other users.
We may reasonably restrict abnormal requests, preserve necessary records, or suspend related functions where serious abuse, fraud, or a security risk is detected, subject to applicable law.
9. Service Quality and Responsibility
Membership provides access to cloud live-interpretation functions during a valid period and within the available allowance. It is not a human interpretation service and does not guarantee that translation, captions, interpreted audio, or voice rendering will always be accurate, continuous, low-latency, or suitable for every situation.
Apple services, networks, Volcano Engine and Doubao services, device audio routing, system permissions, and language support may affect availability. This Agreement does not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Product or Agreement Changes
We may adjust the products, prices, allowance, or feature scope offered in future purchase periods because of cost, model, legal, market, or product changes. Apple handles auto-renewing subscription price changes under its rules. We will not use a unilateral update to retroactively reduce benefits already obtained for a purchased current period, except where law permits or action is necessary for fraud, refund, revocation, or security risk.
We will identify the update and effective dates and provide appropriate notice of material changes through the App, purchase page, or website where required.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
The governing-law and dispute provisions of the XB Live Interpreter Terms of Service apply. Matters involving Apple billing, refunds, payment methods, or App Store accounts may also need to follow Apple's terms and procedures.
